IMPORTANT NOTE:

UNDER PENNSYLVANIA GAME COMMISSION

REGULATIONS AND THE U.S. DEPT. OF THE INTERIOR, FISH AND WILDLIFE SERVICE, IT IS ILLEGAL FOR AN UNLICENSED INDIVIDUAL TO POSSESS OR CARE FOR A NATIVE WILD ANIMAL.

It is important to contact the proper authorities, such as a wildlife rehabilitator or the Game Commission, as soon as possible for assistance. Not just because it is illegal to possess a wild animal, but because many animals need attention immediately.

Fawn viciously attacked by a dog and left for dead for 3 days.  Dog owner finally brought him in when he was almost dead and filled with maggots.

With a lot of patience and perseverance (and a whole lot of prayers), this little buck survived with an incredible will to live and was successfully released.  He has been spotted frequently as he is easily recognized from the multitude of scars that he carries but is a very strong and healthy deer.
